Alexandra and Andrew: Wedding Reception at Le Bilboquet

After Alexandra and Andrew’s ceremony and portraits, we joined their guests at their reception venue: the New York City classic French restaurant Le Bilboquet. Since all of the guests had arrived at Le Bilboquet while Alexandra and Andrew and I were shooting their portraits, we were met with such great energy as soon as we walked in. Everyone was clapping and cheering, and Alexandra and Andrew broke into an impromptu first dance immediately upon arrival. We were immediately welcomed into quite the party: champagne and caviar were served, and laughter and music filled the air.

After the welcome and first dance, guests were seated for dinner. They dined on lobster and of course Le Bilboquet’s most famous dish: their cajun chicken. The long tables were perfect for guests to get to know one another, share stories, and laugh and cry together during the many toasts and speeches. This setup was also great for me as their photographer, as I was able to capture both whoever was giving the toast, and the bride and groom as they listened.

After one final toast – Andrew’s surprise toast to his bride – it was time for the dessert and dancing! It was quite the party; everyone looked like they were having the time of their lives, and I had so much fun photographing it.

Congratulations, Alexandra and Andrew!
