It’s hard to believe summer is coming to a close. I thought I would link some dresses and tops for end-of-summer shoots. I’m personally a huge believer in wearing white whenever you want – not just between Memorial Day and Labor Day! – so I linked some very white options for families who have beach shoots continuing well into September.

The White Company is now having a big summer sale, and a lot of adorable children’s pieces are included. I’ve linked some of my favorites below – all of these would be so perfect for a beach shoot in August.

When choosing outfits for a family shoot, it can be easiest to start by choosing a color scheme, and then choosing outfits for moms and daughters first. Once the girls’ outfits are coordinated, dads and sons can be added in later; they can be in a dress shirt, tee shirt, polo, or linen shirt with jeans or pants in any coordinating color or in white, and they will easily fit into any outfit scheme.

Shopbop’s annual spring sale starts this coming Monday 4/12 and runs through Friday 4/16. This sale is a great opportunity to find new pieces for spring and summer – and for spring and summer shoots!

Today’s family story features Olivia and Charlotte! Their first shoot was when Charlotte was one week old and Olivia was 20 months. Their second shoot was a year later, on Charlotte’s first birthday.

Today’s family story features one-year-old Evelyn and her amazing family. Our first shoot took place in their home in Boston when Evelyn was ten days old. I especially love the photos at the end of this shoot; the white beaded fabric that Evelyn is wearing is her mom’s wedding dress!

Today’s family story shares four years of photos of adorable Lee and Ivy. Our first shoot together was at Lee’s first birthday; his parents had planned a family lunch to celebrate, and we started with a few family photos and a cake smash before his grandparents, aunts, and uncles arrived.
