Favorite Portraits of 2021

One of my favorite workdays of every year is the day I get to look through all of the photos I have shot, narrow down my favorites, and arrange them in this blog post. It gives me the opportunity to sit back and reflect on the year, and on all of the people and moments that made it so special. In 2021, I photographed the seven-day-old baby brother of a little boy whom I had also photographed at seven days old. I shot first birthday photos for a little girl who shares my own birthday. I celebrated the joyful return of events with graduations for the Hamlin classes of 2020 and 2021, a luncheon for a lovely group of Chapin graduates, and the return of one of my longtime families’ annual holiday cookie decorating party. I photographed many new families and reunited with returning families, including grandparents whose long-awaited hugs with their grandchildren I was honored to capture.

Here’s to a joyful, peaceful, healthy, and happy holiday season and new year. Thank you all for following along and for trusting me with capturing your memories.
