Happy weekend! I have been enjoying browsing dresses for spring shoots and beyond. Here are some of my favorites.

It’s been a while since I put together a links post! A wonderful mom whose family I photograph asked me for suggestions on what to wear to her newborn shoot this spring, so I though I would put together a post. All of these dresses (other than the first two) would be lovely for spring/summer shoots even if you haven’t just had a baby, and many come in multiple colorways. As temperatures drop and fall shoots continue, I thought I would round up some favorite fall and winter coats for layering in fall and winter photos. Of course, you can wear a favorite coat that you already have, but if you are looking for something new this year, here are some coats that will photograph beautifully!

As we move from summer weather into fall, some of my favorite outfits are midi skirts with cozy sweaters. Pair them with heels or sandals for now, and booties as temperatures drop. All of the skirts below, most of the sweaters, and some of the shoes come in multiple colorways, so make sure you click through if you like the silhouette but prefer a different color.

It’s hard to believe summer is coming to a close. I thought I would link some dresses and tops for end-of-summer shoots. I’m personally a huge believer in wearing white whenever you want – not just between Memorial Day and Labor Day! – so I linked some very white options for families who have beach shoots continuing well into September.

When choosing outfits for a family shoot, it can be easiest to start by choosing a color scheme, and then choosing outfits for moms and daughters first. Once the girls’ outfits are coordinated, dads and sons can be added in later; they can be in a dress shirt, tee shirt, polo, or linen shirt with jeans or pants in any coordinating color or in white, and they will easily fit into any outfit scheme.
