I am so excited to share the photos from Alexandra and Andrew’s gorgeous wedding this past May. Photographing two people who are so clearly in love is always a joy, but their wedding was extra special; their love and respect for each other were so clear, both in the way they looked at each other and in the vows they wrote and read to each other during the ceremony. It was also evident how much love surrounds them as they begin their marriage; the toasts and speeches from their family and friends were some of the best I have ever heard.

Alexandra and Andrew held their ceremony at the stunning rooftop terrace of the Metropolitan Club. The terrace’s outdoor space, with views of Central Park and the Plaza, provided a beautiful backdrop for their family photos and portraits, and the indoor space was a lovely spot for their ceremony. The light streaming in from the windows and skylight was a photographer’s dream, and the layout of the space magically felt both intimate and grand: the perfect combination.

Alexandra and Andrew chose not to do a first look or see each other before the ceremony, so we did individual family photos before the ceremony with the rest of the photos after. Their embrace when they finally met at the altar was the sweetest moment.

After the ceremony and cocktail hour, the guests headed to the reception venue first, leaving just Alexandra, Andrew and me at the Metropolitan Club for a quiet moment for their portraits. This was such a great way to structure the day; it gave them time to soak in being newly married, and they will have these photos to remember that moment forever.
